Öz

Din ve bilim insanlık tarihi boyunca üst bir kurum olarak, insanın yaşamını kuşatmıştır. İnsanlar, evreni anlamak için dine ve bilime başvurmuştur. Bu durum din ve bilimin ortak yönlerini tespit etmeyi ve onların ilişkilerini ortaya koymayı gerektirmiştir. Araştırmamızda bilim, din ve felsefenin ilişkilerini ele aldık. Her biri, birbirini tamamlayan unsurlardır. Din-bilim çatışması her dönemde var olmuş bir problemdir. İlkçağda mitos-logos, Ortaçağ’da akıl-iman, modern dönemde din-bilim tartışması olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Her dönemin yaklaşımları, meseleyi ele alış biçimi farklı olmuştur. Biz bu çalışmamızın sınırları içerisinde ana hatlarıyla din-bilim ilişkisini, çatışmanın kaynağını, din ve bilim ilişkisini şekillendiren faktörleri ele aldık.

Religion and science have surrounded human life as a top institution throughout human history. People have applied religion and science to understand the universe. This situation requires identifying the common aspects of religion and science and revealing the relationships between them. In our research, we have discussed the relationship between science, religion and philosophy. Each of them is an element that complements the other. The conflict between religion and science is a problem that has existed in every period. Mythos-logos in the first age, reason-faith in the Middle Ages, religion-science in the modern period appear as a debate. The approaches of each period and the way they handled the issue were different. In this study, we discussed the relationship between religion and science, the source of the conflict, and the factors that shape the relationship between religion and science.
