Öz

İnsan hayatına anlam vermede ve insanın kendi dışındaki varlık ve olayları algılamada şüphesiz iki önemli faktör, akıl ve vahiydir. Bunların her birinin de kendine has yöntemleri ve bakış açıları vardır. Tarihte insanlar ya bu iki yöntemi birlikte ele almışlar ya birbirinden ayrılarak veya biri lehine diğerini dışlayarak insan hayatına bir yön ve anlam vermeye çalışmışlardır. Şüphesiz din ve felsefenin hem objeleri hem de amaçları farklıdır. Buna rağmen konumuz açısından, yani yorum yöntemini kullanma açısından filozofla ilahiyatçı kesinlikle anlaşır. Salt akli düşünceye dayanan bir filozof varlığı rasyonel bir tarzda, aşkınlık kavramına başvurmadan sorgular. İlahiyatçı ise varlığı, vahiy açısından değerlendirir. Her ikisinin de ortak amacı, sahip oldukları bakış açıları ile insan hayatına, tabiat olaylarına ve nesnelere bir anlam vermek veya bir başka deyişle önlerinde duran metni (yazılı, sözlü, dini, felsefi tüm varlıklar âlemi)  yorumlamaktır.

Reason and revelation are undoubtedly the two most important factors in giving meaning to human life and perceiving beings and events outside oneself. Each of these has its own methods and perspectives. Throughout history, people have tried to give direction and meaning to human life either by considering these two methods together or by separating them, or excluding one in favor of the other. Undoubtedly, both the objects and aims of religion and philosophy are different. Nevertheless, in terms of our subject matter, that is, in terms of using the method of interpretation, the philosopher and the theologian are absolutely in agreement. A philosopher based on purely rational thought questions existence in a rational manner, without resorting to the concept of transcendence. The theologian, on the other hand, evaluates existence in terms of revelation. The common goal of both is to give meaning to human life, natural phenomena and objects from their perspectives or, in other words, to interpret the text (the whole realm of written, oral, religious, and philosophical existence) before them.
