Metinde felsefe ve siyaset ilişkisi ele alınır. Felsefenin konuları olan olgu, değer, epistemoloji ve ontoloji bağlamında siyaset konusu değerlendirilir. Felsefe siyaset ilişkisinde öncelikle siyaset bilgisinin, siyasal faaliyetin felsefe konuları ile ilişkisi üzerinde durulur. Daha sonra siyaset felsefesi konusu ele alınır. Böylece siyaset felsefesi ile siyasal ideoloji ve siyaset kuramı arasındaki farkların oluşturulmasının da önü açılmış olur.
