Öz

Bu çalışmada İslam dünyasında yazılmış coğrafi kaynakların tanıtımı ele alınmış ve Coğrafi eserlerin ortaya çıkış nedenleri üzerinde durulmuştur. Ayrıca coğrafi çalışmaların tarih boyunca geçirdiği evrelere değinilmiştir. Bu bağlamda İslam Dünyasında Coğrafi çalışmaları tür ve şekilleri ayrıntılı olarak ortaya konmuştur. Çalışma çerçevesinde İslam Dünyasında yazılmış belli başlı Coğrafi kaynaklar hakkında genel bilgi de verilmeye çalışılmıştır.
