The Ontological Dimension of the Relationship between Man and the World in Ikhwan al-Safa

Questions and problems concerning the nature of human beings have been at the forefront of thinkers' minds throughout the history of philosophy. In this respect, the problems and perspectives regarding human beings and human beings, in a way, offer us a broad perspective on the history of philosophy. Throughout the history of thought, the concept of human beings in general and many characteristics and areas related to human beings have been and continue to be the research subject. The biological and psychological structure of human beings, as well as the relationship between human beings and other beings, continue to be the subject of philosophical research. One of these research fields is ontological research on the position of human beings in the universe and their place in the hierarchy of being in the universe. This article aims to look at the relationship between man and the universe from an ontological perspective in light of the views of the Ikhwan al-Safa community, which has an important place in the history of Islamic thought, and to reveal this aspect of their conception of man.
