Surah Humaza and Its Analysis in terms of Recitation

Abstract

The science of recitation is a science that has preserved its freshness and importance since the revelation of the Quran. It is a science that those who deal with Islamic science can never be independent of. The science in question derives its importance and value from the Quran, the word of Allah. Many sciences have been shaped around the Quran from the period of bliss to the present. It is known that the aim is to understand and benefit from the Word of Allah more correctly and authentically. The science of recitation is at the forefront of the sciences that contribute to understanding the word of Allah and help to benefit from it in the best way. Based on these thoughts, in this short study that will be discussed, the Surah Humaza, considered one of the sections of the Quran and is in the category of short surahs, will be addressed. In this context, diffe-rent recitation types in the surah will be determined, both from so-urces directly related to the science of recitation and from sources related to tafsir and Arabic language, both usuli-farshi and sahih-shaz recitations will be determined and a conclusion will be reac-hed in terms of the interpretations of scholars who have a say in the field.
